Funtouch OS 14 Based On Android 14 Announced: Vivo, a Chinese smartphone maker, has launched the Funtouch OS 14 software for its users in India. Powered by Android 14, the OS comes with a host of new features and performance improvements. Vivo claims it has improved memory management, multitasking, privacy and security and more in the new OS.

The new OS introduces Smooth Envision, which promises smoothness throughout the UI experience. Enhanced RAM Saver allows for more memory space to improve multitasking. Plus, App Retainer ensures apps that essential apps stay in the background to easily resume work.

On select models, the company also introduced Motion Blur to simulate a motion blur animation while opening and closing apps. With the upgraded small window interface, users can keep up to 12 windows running in the background. New clock layouts, a monochrome theme, and font styles shall also debut with the new OS.

Vivo also highlighted enhanced video editing capabilities in the new OS. A Smart Mirroring feature to mirror screens while hiding notifications will be available to preserve privacy. Plus, password-based security for hidden photos can also be configured. Users can head to the settings and ‘System update’ page to check for updates.
