Winning with one of the highest margins in the state from a constituency where he previously lost has restored confidence in the party. It is now evident that Lokesh will lead the TDP in the future.

As is common with regional parties, there is ongoing debate about when Lokesh will be elevated to the next level.
The speculation surrounding his potential promotion to Deputy CM has already sparked significant discussion. Both Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh are currently attending the investments forum in Davos. When a national media reporter questioned Chandrababu Naidu about his succession plans, he indirectly confirmed Lokesh as his successor.

Naidu remarked that succession is a myth, whether in politics, business, or movies, and emphasized that talent, not legacy, determines success.
However, he also pointed out that Lokesh had the option to take the easy route of managing their family business, Heritage Foods, but chose the tougher path of public service. Lokesh’s choice and subsequent success in politics have proven his capabilities, said Naidu.

While Chandrababu Naidu attempted to downplay the idea of succession, his comments clearly indicated that Lokesh has proven himself and is poised to be the party’s future leader.
