A Champions League supercomputer has revealed who the most likely winners are of Europe’s elite club competition this season.
Liverpool are currently top of the league phase table having won all seven of their games so far.
However, according to the supercomputer, Arne Slot‘s team will not be lifting the trophy in May.
The verdict is delivered by Bettingexpert’s supercomputer BETSIE.
100,000 simulations took place, which took into account various factors such as results from last season and the current campaign as well as pre-season expectations and xG earned before and during the season.
According to the supercomputer, the team that will triumph this season has never previously won the Champions League.

Despite having won all of their games so far, Arne Slot’s Liverpool didn’t top the simulation
As reported by The Sun, the supercomputer predicted that Arsenal will win the Champions League this season, with Mikel Arteta’s team prevailing in 26.3 per cent of the simulations.
Liverpool, meanwhile, came out on top in 21.6 per cent of the simulations that were conducted.
Real Madrid are in third place with 9.4 per cent, with Barcelona in fourth place with 8.9 per cent.
Rounding off the top five are Bayern Munich, who have been given a 6.70 per cent chance of winning.
Paris Saint-Germain are next up with 6.50 per cent, while Manchester City are in seventh place with with 6.20 per cent.
That is despite Pep Guardiola’s team facing a battle to keep their Champions League hopes alive going into their final league phase game against Club Brugge on Wednesday.
Inter Milan, Bayer Leverkusen and Atalanta are also in the top ten most likely winners according to the supercomputer.
Aston Villa are in eleventh place and have bene given just a 1.50 per cent chance of winning the trophy.

Liverpool have a rich history in the Champions League/European Cup, having won the competition six times, which is the same amount of Bayern Munich.
Real Madrid lead the way with 15 titles, while AC Milan are in second place with seven.
