Many Indian films get banned in Saudi Arabia due to various reasons. Recently, Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 were banned because Singham Again contained references to Indian gods, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 featured an LGBTQ angle.
Now, the latest victim of this censorship is Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated Pushpa 2.

According to the latest reports, the Saudi Arabia censor team objected to the film’s much-hyped Jathara episode. Specifically, they took issue with the hero’s (Allu Arjun’s) attire, where he dresses as a goddess and the extensive references to Hindu gods throughout the film.
After agreeing to multiple cuts totaling 19 minutes, the censor team eventually approved the film.
