Aamir Khan is all set to return as an actor to Bollywood, with his film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ scheduled for a mid-2025 release.
The film is an official Hindi adaptation of the Spanish movie ‘Campeones’, while also being described as a ‘spiritual sequel’ to the 2007 cult classic ‘Taare Zameen Par’.

Khan will play the role of a basketball coach, assigned with the task of training individuals with intellectual disabilities. While the film is similar to ‘Taare Zameen Par’ in its theme, Aamir has deemed it to be ‘10 steps ahead’ of its predecessor.
Aamir will also look to make a comeback with this film, owing to the fact that his last hit as an actor came way back in 2016.

After the failure of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, the official remake of ‘Forrest Gump’, many on social media have shown their concern over ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ being the adaptation of yet another foreign film.
Fans of the star are genuinely worried about him taking the same path as before, that too when it did not work out for him.

While the theme of ‘Campeones’ does bear a slight resemblance to ‘Taare Zameen Par’, its humour is far from regular. The film has been described as an amalgamation of TZP and ‘Chhichhore’, combining the emotions and humour of both worlds.
Social media has shown its concerns regarding the same, with users expressing their views in the comments. One user said, “Another remake? Hope this one does justice to the original.”
Another remarked, “Will audiences love that kind of silly, over-the-top comedy? We have to see.”
It is only a matter of time before the consequence of Aamir’s gamble is revealed to the world. It will be interesting to see whether he will be able to recreate his lost magic, or get lost himself yet again.
