Tollywood witnessed one of its biggest blockbusters of all time in the form of the second part of Pushpa. This film went absolutely bonkers at the box office.
However, there is an existing vacuum for comedy films now in Tollywood. The likes of Kalki, Devara and Pushpa have always been serious Indian action films.

It is a fact that these films did indeed engage the audience, but they could not necessarily provide them with comical relief. This gives great scope to upcoming comedy oriented film Sankranthiki Vastunnam.
This Venkatesh Daggubati film is officially gearing up for release coming Sankranti season. Though there are comments on social media about the promotional material released thus far is cringe, this film is essentially a proper Sankranthi entertainer.

It must be noted that Venky and Anil Ravipudi are already a hugely successful combination. They are sure to pull the audience to theatres in numbers.
Considering the vacuum that has surfaced for chemical entertainers and adding the Sankranthi advantage to it, Sankranthiki Vastunnam has a lot going its way.

Adding to that, other Sankranthi films Game Changer and Daaku Maharaaj have a serious vibe. They follow the action route. What this essentially confirms is that Sankranthiki Vastunnam is the only comical entertainer in a while.
