    Saif Ali Khan Devara

Pan-India films have gained prominence after the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. While certain projects like Pushpa and RRR have managed to entertain audiences across languages, interest in most other films has been lackluster.

Given the overall response, questions have emerged about whether Jr. NTR’s Devara: Part 1 will make a significant impact on the box office, particularly in North India.

This upcoming action drama has been making headlines due to its impressive cast, including Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The trailer is set to release on Tuesday, September 10, and audiences are eagerly anticipating a glimpse into the world of Devara.

Saif Ali Khan has previously showcased his versatility as a villain in films like Omkara and Tanhaji but failed in Adipurush due to poor execution. Many are optimistic that he will deliver an intimidating performance this time around.

However, the bigger question is whether audiences will flock to theatres for Saif’s performance alone. For now, there’s no clear answer.

Saif may add some appeal for the North audience and if his role turns out to be impressive, he will definitely turn out to be a big plus for the film’s box office performance.

Two years ago, KGF Chapter 2 became a hit, but its success was largely attributed to the popularity of the first film. Yes, Sanjay Dutt played the main villain, but the franchise’s established fanbase was the primary driver of interest.

Ultimately, a film’s success depends on its story and screenplay. Jr. NTR is still working to establish himself as a major star in North India, where audiences are more familiar with actors like Prabhas. He needs some padding and support to attract the Hindi audience and let’s hope Saif turns out to be his trump card in Hindi.
