Thus far, RRR and Kalki, two of the biggest outings from Telugu cinema have reached the coveted Rs 150 crore gross mark in Nizam.

The only Telugu film that could possibly join this bracket in the foreseeable future is Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2.
The sequel hype and Bunny’s existing acceptance amongst the neutral audience might well propel Pushpa 2 to the prized Rs 150 crore league in Nizam.

It took a certain Rajamouli, and a mega production like Kalki to open this market in Nizam. If Allu Arjun can reach this league now, he would be the first hero to do it with a non-big event film.
Given all the advantages that Pushpa 2 has, the film is in a position where it must and should set new box office records. Otherwise, it would be termed as an underperforming film, which is a detracting factor in itself.
