HS Prannoy vs K Vitidsarn BWF World Championships 2023 Semifinal Live Score: After assuring India of a World Championships medal, HS Prannoy will face Thailand’s Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the semifinal on Saturday. In a 68-minuted quarterfinal, Prannoy stunned two-time defending champion Viktor Axelsen of Denmark. Prannoy showed his big-match temperament as he fought back from a game down to outclass the world No. 1 Axelsen 13-21, 21-15, 21-16 in-front of his home crowd at the Royal Arena.
In head-to-head, his semifinal opponent Vitidsarn is leading by 1-0 in the only game they have faced each other. It was during the Round of 32 at the All England Open 2022 where Vitidsarn has pipped Prannoy 21-15, 24-22. However, given the form Prannoy is in, we might see another nail-biter.
Battling injuries and health issues, Prannoy had watched it all come together this season when he finally won his first Super 500 title at Malaysia. But it still needed that medal at World’s to cement his greatness in 2023.
