A school for those interested in going into the plumbing trade may be on the horizon for Wickliffe among other businesses.
“WyattWorks Plumbing has been growing,” said Mayor Joe Sakacs. “They’re on the up and up, and they want to build a trade school here in Wickliffe for the plumbing trade. It’s an exciting time for them and it’s a great company we have here on Lloyd Road.”
For more than 40 years, WyattWorks has been serving the Cleveland area, as well as North Carolina and South Carolina, specializing in plumbing and maintenance repair, water leak detection and drain cleaning.
Meanwhile, North American Plastics, based in Euclid, moved their warehouse facility to Wickliffe in another business on Clinton Avenue.
“It used to be the K-Tec building, but they moved in there, they’re splitting space and eventually, they want to set up shop here,” Sakacs said. “It’s nice to see another business coming into Wickliffe, wanting to thrive and grow here.”
Located at 28940 Euclid Ave., the Amateur Electronics Supply building has been empty for a long time, Sakacs said. Now, a new owner is taking the steps to open a coffee shop drive-thru business at the location.
“The owner has remodeled everything, went to Planning Commission and got approved,” Sakacs said. “It’s going to be a drive-through coffee shop and a couple other businesses in there. They might have office space available as well, but the owner is going to make the place look nice. It’s another part of making the aesthetics better on Euclid Avenue.”
The Circle K that is to be going on the west end of Euclid Avenue also recently received approval at Planning Commission for their next step. Hopefully by spring, construction will be starting, Sakacs said.
“We’re getting to the winter season, but good things are coming,” he said. “Good things are happening and there are a lot of great things on the horizon for next year. I’m excited to be a part of it.”
