BTS’s Jin greeted fans in person on June 13, 2024. This was the first time since his military discharge. He held a special hug event as part of the 2024 FESTA celebrations, Jin’s Greetings.
The adorable star wore a cardboard poster around his neck. The poster had the words “hug me” on it, along with an illustration of himself.
His hair was cropped short, reflecting his fresh-out-of-the-military status.
He was a little nervous to see fans up close.

Fans came on stage one by one to hug him. He even comforted a nervous male fan, telling the fan to feel comfortable hugging him.

The event was a once-in-a-lifetime rarity. For a star as famous as himself, free hug events are uncommon. Jin wanted to celebrate his military discharge, thanking the fans that loyally waited for him for close to two years. Netizens were heartened to see the warm interactions.
