“Got them lost” vs. “Godd*mn lost?”
BTS‘s RM is soon making his comeback with his second solo album, Right Place, Wrong Person, releasing on May 28 KST.
Ahead of its release, RM dropped the official teaser for the music video of his title track, “LOST!” The brief clip gives off mysterious, horror-like vibes before we hear RM’s voice utter some lyrics.
Yet, these lyrics have begun a great debate among ARMYs.
ARMYs took to X (formerly Twitter) to react to the MV teaser. Some heard, “Got them lost,” and, yes, RM does have us lost after that teaser.

Yet, many heard RM say, “Godd*mn lost.”
“GODDAMN LOST!”

Others heard neither. Other possibilities include “God, they lost” and “Got damn lost.”

Still, the most common two guessed are “Got them lost” and “Godd*mn lost.”
GOT THEM LOST! …. GOD DAMN LOST!

It’s resulted in a debate, as ARMYs “argue” over which one is the correct lyrics. It’s Team “Got them lost” vs. Team “Godd*mn lost.”
ARE YOU TEAM

OR
GODDAMN LOST?? pic.twitter.com/R2UI65UZxK

Some are joking that it’s the next great debate after “Yanny” vs. “Laurel” and the white-and-gold vs. black-and-blue dress.
THEY ALL SIT AT THE SAME TABLE 😭
team ‘got them lost’ or ‘goddamn lost’? pic.twitter.com/rXYLzePNQu

Nonetheless, some ARMYs pointed out that RM is known for his creative writing, including wordplay. Just a few clear examples can be found in songs, such as “Telepathy,” “Miss Right,” and “Trivia 承: Love.” So, RM is likely incorporating multiple expressions and meanings in his words.
“Told me it’s impossible but look carefully,
Placing a period on impossible
I’m possible” — We are Bulletproof pt. 2~ putting a period/space on ‘impossible’, it becomes ‘im possible’. namjoon shows how the word ‘impossible’ tells us that it’s always possible. pic.twitter.com/ItoZQh0YA2

From my experience covering Joon’s work: it’s not one or the other (“got them lost”, “goddamn lost”, etc)– knowing the way he plays with words to make them sound like many things at once…
I think he was going for ALL OF THE ABOVE. Maybe recorded them separately to layer ’em. pic.twitter.com/vFlB5gQfjS

Knowing Joon’s penmanship, wouldn’t be surprised if he’s incorporating both. pic.twitter.com/SuRw0um0Uv
