Nandamuri Balakrishna’s lineup got a big boost with the announcement of Boyapati Srinu’s Akhanda 2: Tandavam. The film will be produced under the 14 Reels Plus banner and is expected to be released in five languages at a pan-India level.
Director Boyapati Srinu plans to invest significantly in this project, aiming for a grand production without compromising on the budget. To generate more excitement and cater to the pan-India audience, he is focusing on creating a film that aligns with current market trends.

Notably, there are talks of bringing in a major Bollywood star for the villain’s role, with Sanjay Dutt reportedly being approached for the part.
In case Sanjay Dutt declines, Boyapati is considering other prominent Hindi film actors to ensure the film makes a strong impact in the Bollywood market as well.

Sanjay Dutt is a powerful actor who would make a terrific antagonist. But he has been overused recently in Pan-India films and his addition doesn’t bring much hype to the project anymore. His recent villainous act in Puri Jagannadh’s Double iSmart fell flat.
The Telugu film industry needs to give a break to Sanjay Dutt and Bobby Deol for some time and not turn them into another Sayaji Shinde or Mukesh Rishi.
