Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran movie, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, which is based on the real-life incidents of Major Mukund Varadarajan, was released in theaters on October 31st.

Although the movie has acquired positive responses from the audience and critics, some people were opposed to the movie and tried to boycott the movie for various reasons.

During the initial days of the Amaran movie release itself, lots of commotion were raised by some people that Major Mukund Varadarajan was a Brahmin and director Rajkumar Periyasamy forcefully skipped it and not mentioned it in any places in the movie.

For this director, Rajkumar Periyasamy has also made a statement in the success meet that the family of Major Mukund Varadarajan asked him to portray him only as a Tamilian, and that’s why he doesn’t mention Major Mukund Varadarajan as a Brahmin in the movie.

Also, some Muslim people bashed the movie as it portrayed Muslims as terrorists, and it may influence some people in a bad way.

In this scenario, on Saturday a petrol bomb attack happened in Nellai, Melappalayam, Alangar Cinemas, in which the Amaran movie was screened. This attack happened on Saturday morning, and as per reports, no people were injured, and two unknown people threw the petrol bomb into the theater.

For this incident, the police officials were now investigating who was responsible for this incident and what is the reason behind this.
