The Jolly LLB fame recently talked about a critical issue in Bollywood. He was seen in a candid interview where he shared his thoughts quite openly. Arshad Warsi has gained much repute in Bollywood with his performance in Munna Bhai MBBS, Dhamaal, Golmaal and Ishqiya. If even such an actor has to suffer the payment gap we can only imagine how worse the situation must be for the others.

Arshad Warsi stated that he does not find the fees charged by many actors a justifiable amount. Because of high demands from certain “A-Listers” he believes that others have to suffer. This only widens the disparity in a case where the affluent actors and the ones with a solid background keep getting richer while the strugglers have to face the worst consequences.
Arshad Warsi will soon be sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar in Welcome To The Jungle and Jolly LLB 3. Could his remarks be a hint on the pay disparity he is facing on these projects? Earlier too many people have raised this issue, while gender pay disparity remains a big concern in the industry, this form of disparity has also been there but hasn’t become a significant issue. An actor should be majorly paid for the work they put in but unfortunately in the industry “that which sells makes more money” has become the norm.
