US-based tech firm Dolby Laboratories is set to launch Dolby Cinema in India this year, bringing an advanced cinematic experience with superior picture and sound quality.

Six exhibitors have been announced as the first to introduce Dolby Cinema screens: City Pride in Pune, Allu Cineplex in Hyderabad, LA Cinema in Trichy, AMB Cinemas in Bengaluru, EVM Cinemas in Kochi, and G Cineplex in Ulikkal.

Allu Cineplex is an upcoming multiplex near Kokapet/Narsingi/Outer Ring Road in Hyderabad.

Dolby Cinema integrates Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos technologies. Dolby Vision enhances visuals with extreme brightness, deeper blacks, and vibrant colors, creating a more lifelike image with exceptional detail.

Dolby Atmos revolutionizes audio by circulating sound from all directions, including overhead, ensuring a fully immersive experience. Additionally, Dolby Cinema’s auditorium design optimizes every seat for maximum comfort, providing the best possible viewing experience for every audience member.

Since its debut in 2014, Dolby Cinema has expanded to 14 countries with 35 exhibitor partners. Bringing it to India marks a significant step in enhancing the country’s movie-watching experience and emphasizes Dolby’s commitment to pushing cinematic boundaries.

Dolby also recently collaborated with Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad to establish India’s first Dolby Vision color grading facility to further strengthen its role in the Indian film industry.
