Based on the international show Big Brother, Bigg Boss started its first season in India in 2006. The show has had 17 seasons on television and 2 seasons of streaming. While Salman Khan has been the host for most seasons, the show has also been hosted by Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Dutt, Amitabh Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty, Karan Johar and Farah Khan in the past. This is Anil Kapoor’s first time hosting a reality show, but he has hinted that Salman might make a cameo on stage with him during the season.
