Joker: Folie à Deux is set to hit Indian theatres two days ahead of its global release. The highly anticipated sequel, Joker 2, is now scheduled for October. Joker 2 will premiere in India on Gandhi Jayanti.

Devara is scheduled to release on September 27, and its performance in Hindi-speaking regions is crucial in getting the HIT verdict. If the film garners positive word-of-mouth, it could potentially do well on October 2, which is Gandhi Jayanti, a national holiday.
However, the simultaneous release of Joker 2 on the same date could significantly impact Devara’s box-office performance not just on Gandhi Jayanti, but also in the following days.

Trade experts estimate that Devara will need to reach around 100 crores net in the Hindi version to break even. This target seemed achievable if the film clicked with North Indian audiences, but the impact of Joker 2 on Devara’s box office prospects remains to be seen.
