No film industry has been maintaining as much success rate as the Telugu film industry when it comes to rolling out big-scale pan-Indian films.
Though there are hits and misses in Tollywood as well, the big films that come here generally tend to be more efficient and have more bases covered.

In the last 1 year itself, Tollywood has rolled out multiple successful films, including Salaar, Kalki, and Devara which have all been successful at the box office. If we add HanuMan to the list, it grows bigger.
At a time when other film industries are struggling to crack the big event formula and consistently burning their hands, Tollywood proves to be adequately efficient on this front.

While some of the reasons might be capable directors, larger-market heroes and the inbred commercial culture in the industry, the ability to do it again and again is what separates Tollywood from the rest.
The most important aspect, though is the director who runs the show. It can easily be argued that no other film industry has as many capable directors as Tollywood who can manage and execute winning big event films.
