Nothing has been working out for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress Party ever since it was ousted from power by the people of Andhra Pradesh.
Corruption cases involving YCP leaders are being exposed, and the current government is taking stringent action against them.

On the other side, several leaders are leaving the party and joining either TDP or Janasena, further weakening the YCP.
In a major blow to the party, Ongole Mayor Sujatha, along with 12 corporators, left YCP and joined the Telugu Desam Party in the presence of Ongole MLA Damacharla Janardhan.

MLA Janardhan cordially invited all of them to the party at a meeting held in Naidupalem today. This is a major setback for the YCP in the Prakasam district. Reportedly, more local leaders and corporators are expected to follow the same route in the coming days.
There were tremors in Prakasham district’s YCP after the party’s defeat in the elections. For the last few weeks, it has been reported that Sujatha, along with a few corporators, is planning to join the ruling TDP.

On the other side, Ongole Ex-MLA Balineni Srinivas Reddy vowed to restrengthen the YCP and his cadre in the city. He also held talks with Sujatha and corporators. However, none of his plans worked and they eventually switched to TDP.
Not only here, but the same trend is continuing in other places of Andhra Pradesh as well. Many leaders from YCP are now switching to the ruling TDP or JSP, causing major concern within the Jagan brigade.
