The teaser for Bhool Bhulaiya 3 has been released, sparking both excitement as well as disappointment among fans of the cult-classic. While fans are excited about the highly anticipated return of Vidya Balan as the iconic Manjulika, most of them have expressed their disappointment over the absence of Akshay Kumar in the film.

In the 1 minute 46 seconds teaser, Kartik Aryan can be seen in his iconic role of Rooh Baba, who seems to be unfearful of ghosts. The scene then cuts to Manjulika, who is all set to return to cause utter mayhem and destruction once again.
But the teaser seems to have failed to capture people’s love, as people have already took to X, labeling the teaser as “cringe”, pointing out that even a versatile actor like Vidya Balan was made to do overacting, tarnishing the image of the OG Manjulika.

The excitement for the return of Vidya Balan’s Manjulika has left fans elated, and rightfully so, given her unforgettable performance in the original Bhool Bhulaiya (2007). The absence of Akshay Kumar was hugely felt, as his comical character played a huge role in the success of the first Bhool Bhulaiya.
One user on X wrote that a Bhool Bhulaiya movie without Akshay Kumar would be like “Dal without salt”. This shows the special place Akshay’s character Dr. Aditya Shrivastav holds in the hearts and minds of the people.
