Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 3’ went on to be one of the most successful films from Bollywood in the year 2024 and succeeded even after clashing with a multistarrer like ‘Singham Again’.

Now the movie is doing big on OTT as well. The movie premiered on Netflix on the 27th of December and has gathered a good deal of views in these few days.
The movie garnered a total of 9.3 million views in three weeks of its premiere. Bhool Bhulaiya 3 overtook Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and Kareena Kapoor’s ‘The Buckingham Murders’ to make a spot at the Netflix top 10. In theaters too, Singham Again, which Akshay was a part of, could not do much in front of Bhool Bhulaiya 3.

The Mudassar Aziz directorial ‘Khel Khel Mein’ had a total of 8.7 million views. Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiya 3 overtaking a movie from Akshay Kumar in terms of views is very ironic in itself.
The Bhool Bhulaiya franchise was started by Akshay himself and Kartik Aaryan has been criticised many times for not doing enough to keep up with Akshay’s legacy. And now Akshay’s own film feels irrelevant to audiences.

Despite Kareena’s ‘The Buckingham Murders’ being pushed out of the Netflix top 10, the no. 1 spot is secured by a Kareena Kapoor film. It is ‘Crew’ and it has a total of 17.9 million views in four weeks. Bhool Bhulaiya 3 will have to go a long way to compete with Crew.
Other films in the list are ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, ‘Jigra’, ‘Dunki’, ‘Animal’, ‘Fighter’, ‘Shaitaan’ and ‘Laapata Ladies’.
