Beware Hyderabadis! Avoid These 3 Foods

Of late, we have been hearing an increased number of cases of food poisoning and contamination at the eateries in Hyderabad. More shockingly, a woman died while 20 fell ill after consuming ‘momos’ at an eatery in Khairatabad.

In view of these incidents, Hyderabadis are being advised to stay away from 3 particular food items and they are – shawarma, momos, and panipuri/golgappa.

Firstly, Shawarma involves shredded chicken meat that usually gets stored for multiple days. Consuming this meat can lead to serious infections and discomfort. We often hear cases of food poisoning due to shawarma, so it is better to stay away from the same.

Then we have momos, a north-east Indian delicacy that is traditionally steamed or fried. Again, in case meat is used in these momos, there is a chance of contamination or addition of expired material. So, it is again advised to stay away from these momo outlets.

Lastly, we have the ever-persistent panipuri/golgappa. These items are generally prepared with unsanitized water and more often than not, the vendor doesn’t even have a glove while serving the item. If you even have the temptation to have this item, better go to a reputed outlet that uses mineral water.

In order to stay away from the ever-increasing cases of food contamination and poisoning, people are advised to stay away from outside food in general. Or at the very least, from the three mentioned items.
