The Daggubati family has found itself in legal trouble just before the release of Venkatesh’s upcoming film, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, slated for January 14.
A case has been filed against actor Venkatesh, his brother and producer Suresh Babu, and Rana Daggubati, and Abhiram for alleged trespassing and property damage in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.

The complainant, Nandakumar, has accused the Daggubati brothers of unlawfully entering leased properties, causing significant damage, and stealing property worth approximately 20 crores.
The case, filed under sections 448, 452, 458, and 120(B) of the IPC, claims the accused violated court orders, including an injunction issued by the Telangana High Court, and continued demolition despite legal restrictions.

The complaint further alleges that in November 2022 and January 2024, the accused used anti-social elements to carry out illegal activities on the properties, including threatening and assaulting the complainant’s staff.
The Film Nagar Police have registered the case, and an investigation is underway to verify the claims and determine the next steps.

This incident adds to a recent trend of troubles faced by Tollywood stars. Nagarjuna dealt with the demolition of his N Convention Centre by the Telangana government, while Allu Arjun faced serious legal case following a stampede at the Pushpa 2 premiere.
As the case gains attention, it remains to be seen how the Daggubati brothers handle the legal situation, especially with Venkatesh’s film set to release during the Sankranthi festive season.
