    BCCI official slams Chetan Sharma

Following Chetan Sharma’s shocking revelation on a TV sting operation, a BCCI official slammed Team India chief selector’s remark and said none of the senior Indian players speak to him and he spoke too much.

Team India chief selector Chetan Sharma triggered a huge controversy as he was part of a sting operation conducted by a TV Channel. During the sting, Sharma made several explosive revelations. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is likely to take action against Sharma – who was recently reinstated in the selection panel after being sacked following India’s poor show in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.

As reported by PTI, Sharma’s comments have not gone down too well with the BCCI top brass and can also impact the relationship between a player, selector and journalist.

“No player or selector will be comfortable in sharing a cordial relationship even with well meaning journalists after this sting as the trust factor has been compromised,” a senior BCCI source told PTI on conditions of anonymity.

The source went on to add that none of the senior Indian players speak to Sharma and asked whether one ever saw the likes of Rahul Dravid , Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma speak with him publicly during a training session.
“Chetan spoke a bit too much. None of the top India players talk to him. Have you seen him speak to Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma publicly in any training session? He would stand in one corner during the T20 World Cup in Australia and no one bothered to speak to him,” another BCCI source who was present in Australia said.
