Asserting that Congress is the largest party in INDIA alliance, Rahul Gandhi, in a meeting with the party’s Lok Sabha MPs, asked them to avoid provocative comments made by “middle and low-rung” leaders of INDIA bloc parties, sources said, reports Ambika Pandit.
Amid disgruntlement expressed by allies over leadership of the alliance and Congress’s losses in Haryana and Maharashtra, Rahul’s assertion to MPs was clearly aimed at stemming unrest. According to sources, the Congress brass sees these remarks by INDIA bloc members as “posturing”.
