On Day 13 (October 13) of the 2023 Asian Games, Indian men’s cricket team booked a place in the final and assured of atleast Silver as they defeated Bangladesh in the semifinal by 9 runs. India chased down 97 runs inside 10 Overs. Indian Men’s hockey team made direct entry into 2024 Paris Olympics with a 5-1 win over Japan in final of Asian Games. This is India’s 22nd Gold medal in Hangzhou Games. Indian women’s Kabaddi team also assured of Silver as they streamrolled Nepal in semifinal. India streamrolled Pakistan in men’s kabaddi semifinal 61-14 and would have a shot at Gold medal on Saturday. Shuttlers Satwik-Chiraj booked a place in final of men’s doubles after HS Prannoy settled with a Bronze in Men’s singles early in the day.
