The Tiruchi Circle of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has opened a publication sales counter at Main Guard Gate, a protected monument in Tiruchi.
The counter was declared open by N.K. Pathak, Regional Director (South), ASI, on March 26 in the presence of A. Anilkumar, Superintending Archaeologist, ASI, Tiruchi Circle, and other ASI officials. ASI’s publications and postcards would be available at the counter to the public, including tourists, students, and scholars, officials said.
The Tiruchi Circle of the ASI, established on bifurcation of the Chennai Circle in 2020, has 162 protected monuments and sites under its jurisdiction.
