As Dono movie releases today, Sunny Deol’s son Rajveer Deol took to his Instagram account to request people to enjoy the film in theatres. The early reactions of Dono, starring Rajveer Deol and Paloma, are largely positive. Rajveer and Poonam Dhillon’s daughter Paloma make their acting debut with the romance drama. The film also marks the directorial debut of Sooraj R Barjatya’s son Avnish S Barjatya.
Sharing the heartwarming message on his social media account, Rajveer wrote, “Dono is all yours today! Explore the amazing story of Dev and Meghna in cinemas with your loved one.”
Meanwhile, sharing the first impression of the movie on X, a user wrote, “The film’s story and direction are good. They have justified the characters well. The movie is a family entertainer.” Another one wrote, “Dono is a sweet and heartfelt love story with superhit music album Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The newcomers Paloma and Rajveer Deol are good and Avnish Barjatya shows promise. It’s a sweet idea and is well executed.”
Going by the film’s trailer, the film revolves around a guy and a girl who meet at their respective friend’s wedding. Sparks fly and the film takes the audience on an emotional roller-coaster of two people – nursing a heartbreak – and whether or not they come together in the end. The film revolves around a destination wedding and how that brings everyone together.
In 2020, Rajveer’s grandfather and seasoned actor Dharmendra made a social media announcement about his Bollywood debut. On Instagram, he posted, “Introducing my grandson Rajveer Deol to the world of cinema along with Avnish Barjatya’s directorial debut,” he had written on Instagram. “I humbly request you all to shower the same love and affection on both the kids as you have on me. Good luck and God bless,” he had added.
