A.R. Murugadoss is returning as a director with Sikandar, which features Salman Khan, after a long gap of around five years. His last collaboration was with Rajinikanth in Darbar in 2020.
Meanwhile, there have been rumors that Murugadoss might join Shah Rukh Khan for his next project.

While SRK has not responded to the reports until now, Murugadoss opened up about the same in an interview, saying that he will first wrap up his next Tamil film, Madharasi, featuring Sivakarthikeyan.
Although he directly did not mention anything about a film with SRK, Murugadoss said that he is planning to sit down with Sajid Nadiadwala after Sikandar, and in case “everything aligns”, they are ready to do something exciting.

Considering SRK’s image among the audience after the success of Pathaan and Jawan, a collaboration with Murugadoss might be a good choice. But the question is whether SRK is willing to join a director whose work has become a little bit outdated in today’s situation.
Murugadoss has always aimed to send a social message through his films through the medium of action where a hero takes down hundreds of villains at the same time. This is a concept that we have seen many times in the past.

Moreover, Sikandar is also giving the vibes of an outdated subject, which is expected to click at the box office due to the stardom of Salman Khan.
Even if SRK and Murugadoss decide to collaborate, the latter has to prepare a script that will bring something new for the audience and also bring SRK out of his comfort zone, playing a completely different role.
