The tech giant Apple is all set to launch ‘Apple Intelligence’, the company’s AI suite in the upcoming iOS 18.1 update showing powerful new capabilities along with strengthening users’ privacy and security.
Apple has ramped up its ‘bug bounty’ program ahead of the launch to identify any potential vulnerabilities in its Private Cloud Compute (PCC) system.

This system manages data processing for AI operations on-cloud while protecting users’ privacy at the same time.
Apple has offered more than ₹8 Cr. to anyone who finds vulnerabilities in the PCC system. The aim of the company is to prevent any data breaches after PCC’s debut.

The rewards are divided mainly into 3 categories ranging from ₹2.1 Cr. for accidental data disclosures to ₹8.4 Cr. for severe exploits like unauthorized access to users’ data through malicious requests.
Apple has opened its Virtual Research Environment to security researchers worldwide, even making some of the PCC’s source code publicly available on GitHub.

This enables researchers to investigate potential security issues as well as get a deeper insight into the platform’s security mechanisms.
