AP Govt To Supreme Court in Vallabhaneni Vamsi Case

In a shock to YSRCP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi, the Andhra Pradesh government has decided to move Supreme Court against the bail granted to him by the High Court.

It has been reported that a case was filed against Vamsi in illegal sand mining between 2019-24. Vamsi filed a petition seeking bail and the High Court provided him relief.

Vallabhaneni Vamsi was suffering from health issues and he got bail in other cases from the AP High Court. The Court also allowed him to get treatment in a hospital. But he had to return to jail.

Meanwhile, the Vigilance department found that the government suffered losses up to Rs 195 crore due to illegal sand mining. Hence, the AP government has decided to approach the Supreme Court regarding the bail granted to Vamsi. The AP government has issued a GO to take immediate action to Advocate of Records.

Most likely, the AP government will move the case on Monday. Given this scenario, the Supreme Court’s ruling has become vital. However, looks like Vallabhaneni Vamsi is unlikely to get relief any time soon.
