    Anushka Sharma leaves for France, to make her Cannes debut along with Kate Winslet


    By India Today Entertainment Desk: Anushka Sharma will be making her Cannes 2023 debut today. The actress leaves for France and was spotted at the Mumbai airport on May 21. Anushka opted for a comfortable chic look at the airport, as she got papped by the photographers.

    Anushka sported a white T-shirt with black pants and a cap for the airport look. She also donned a stylish pair of sunglasses, a mask, white sneakers and a sling bag to round off her casual yet chic look. Check it out.

    The Indian superstar will honour women in cinema along with Hollywood icon Kate Winslet at Cannes 2023. It will be interesting to see what Anushka opts for her Cannes debut this year. Many Indian celebrities, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Aditi Rao Hydari had earlier made their Cannes debut.

    With films like Sultan, PK, Sultan, NH10, Pari and more, Anushka Sharma has proved her versatility as an actor. She is also a credible producer, and a force behind series like Paatal Lok, Bulbull, among others.

    ABOUT CANNES 2023

    Apart from Anushka, there are three Indian films which are being premiered at Cannes this year. The films include director Anurag Kashyap’s Kennedy. The film will be showcased at the Midnight Screenings section of the prestigious film gala. Film distributor Iris Knobloch and Thierry Fremaux, director of the Cannes Film Festival, made the announcement at a press conference at Cannes.

    On the work front, Anushka’s next film is Chakda Xpress, which is inspired by the life and times of Indian women’s cricket’s fast bowler Jhulan Goswami. The film will exclusively stream on Netflix.
