Abhishek Bachchan has made limited screen appearances over the years. However, he collaborated with director Shoojit Sircar for his latest film, I Want To Talk.
Considering the track record of Shoojit, the film was supposed to pull a large number of audiences to the big screen. Unfortunately, that did not happen and booking websites have proved the same, showing that most of the seats are empty.

On the other hand, the film itself has received a mixed reaction. As per the reviews shared on social media, a section of the public has called it a good film that can inspire anyone. They additionally stated that the film manages to form an emotional connection.
However, there has been some negative response too, with a few people claiming that the first half is not up to the mark. It is also being compared to Shoojit’s earlier projects which were better.

People even called it boring, adding that even the flawless performances of the lead cast members could not save the film in the upcoming days.
It is surprising that despite having a theme that can leave a good impression, I Want To Talk has not received the expected response from the public. Positive reviews can never work in anyone’s favour since box office numbers matter at the end of the day.

If an estimation has to be made based on the number of tickets possibly purchased today, the film might take an opening of Rs. 1 crore or less than that.
It seems like Shoojit Sircar needs a change based on the requirements of today’s audience. This is because I Want To Talk is looking like an ordinary OTT film that has been released on the big screen. The question that remains is why makers ignored the fact that there is no buzz.
Moreover, people are hardly interested in watching a solo film of Abhishek Bachchan anymore. He should simply appear in films with an ensemble cast from now onwards.
