As reported earlier, for whatever reason, Anirudh has kept Devara album in the limelight. The newly released second single is already in the midst of social media discussions over copy allegations and trolls.
The main complaint is that Anirudh copied the core tune of ‘Manike Mage Hithe’ which is a Sri Lankan song that trended big time in India.
Incidentally, the severity of the social media debate on the song is so harsh that the composer of the original Manike Mage Hithe, Chamath Sangeeth had reacted to the same.
Chamath shared a social media post in which he said he is happy that his work inspired Anirudh to allegedly compose the second song in Devara. He seemed sportive about this and said he ranks Anirudh very highly.
But a star composer of Anirudh’s caliber facing copy allegations is never a good sign as originally enticing work is expected from him. The exact opposite has happened with this new song from Devara.
Regardless of this negative talk, Chuttamalle appears to have struck a chord with the target audience which is ultimately a good deal for the film.
Devara is set for release on the 27th of September and it appears to be a raw and rugged action drama.
