The Deol family has made comeback with a huge wave of box-office success with their recent two films. While Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ has become the second highest-grossing film of the year after ‘Pathaan’ with its record-breaking collections, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ which featured Dharmendra in an important role has also received a lot of love from the audiences and critics alike. Amid this, the ‘Sholay’ actor has opened up about how his family doesn’t ‘market’ itself and believes in letting their work speak for itself. In an interview Times Now, Dharmendra reportedly said that Sunny has starred in two of the biggest commercial successes yet he never boasts about them. Further, the veteran actor also said ‘My family has never been given their due’ and added that they ‘don’t mind’ their contribution not being acknowledged by the industry because the love of their fans keeps them going. According to him, the industry has not recognised their contribution to Hindi cinema. Meanwhile, ‘Gadar 2’ is all set to cross the Rs 300-crore mark at the domestic box-office after a week of its release. ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaanii’, on the other hand, has so far collected over Rs 140 crore in India. For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
