    AMD Unveils Next-Gen “Zen 5” Ryzen Processors To Power Advanced AI Experiences


    AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) has announced a revolutionary lineup of next-generation processors designed to usher in a new era of AI-driven computing experiences. During Computex 2024, AMD introduced the new AMD Ryzen™ AI 300 Series processors and AMD Ryzen™ 9000 Series processors, built on the cutting-edge “Zen 5” architecture.

    The AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processors, featuring the world’s most powerful Neural Processing Unit (NPU), are set to redefine the capabilities of AI PCs. These processors, built on the new AMD XDNA™ 2 architecture, boast 50 TOPS of AI processing power, significantly surpassing the requirements for Copilot+ AI PCs. This third-generation AI series offers three times the AI engine performance of its predecessor, enabling high-efficiency AI workloads directly on ultrathin laptops. The processors come equipped with up to 12 high-performance CPU cores and 24 threads, along with 50% more on-chip L3 cache memory compared to the previous generation.

    For desktop users, the AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors promise unparalleled performance and efficiency for gamers, content creators, and prosumers. The flagship Ryzen 9 9950X delivers the fastest consumer desktop performance globally, with a 16% better IPC performance over the prior generation “Zen 4” processors.

    Upcoming Availability:

    The new Ryzen 9000 Series desktop processors will be available to DIY customers and SI partners starting July 2024. Additionally, AMD announced the AMD Radeon™ PRO W7900 Dual Slot workstation graphics card, designed for high-performance platforms and AI development, with availability beginning June 19, 2024.
