In its ever-expanding venture, Reliance announced a new partnership with Timberland to bring its footwear range back to the Indian market.
Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Isha Ambani sealed the deal with the US brand which is making their return to the country after 9 years. The US company was forced to shut down its stores in India after they lost a dispute with Woodland over similarities in their logos and product designs.

The US footwear brand is now aiming to revitalize its presence in the Indian market with the help of the richest man in the country. This will pit it directly against the Indian brand Woodland as both companies offer similar products related to outdoor gear.
Timberland had a great run the first time around and attracted a lot of buyers giving some Indian brands a run for their money. However, Woodland has an upper hand with their presence, identity, and a stronghold over the Indian footwear market.

All the while Reliance is expanding its range of products as it continues to partner with popular global brands like H&M and Timberland. It will soon have new footwear products on its online platform Ajio.
