Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine as Light has received decent feedback at various film festivals. It has now arrived on the big screen on Friday, November 22, and is expected to leave a positive impression on the audience.
Meanwhile, the film has currently grabbed a lot of attention due to the actions of CBFC, which surprisingly did not order any kind of visual or audio cuts.

The latest reports have stated that the censor board has not removed the frontal nudity sequences. A source claimed that the reason behind the same was that the scenes were a necessary part of the film’s theme and narrative.
This is the second time that CBFC’s actions have left netizens surprised considering that Karan Johar’s Kill was also allowed to be released on the big screen despite featuring intense action scenes and violence that are not easily accepted today among Indian audiences.

Payal had once opened up about the nude scenes in the film in an interview, saying that it is a normal thing, adding that she intended to remain as authentic as possible.
It remains to be seen if CBFC’s actions will lead to any kind of protests. Notably, these kinds of films have landed in trouble in the past, with a few of them being permanently banned in India, such as Garam Hawa, Paanch, and Fire.
