Aditya Chopra’s production has witnessed its ups and downs over the years. There was a time when Yash Raj Films focused on the small towns of India. But as time passed, the scale of their projects became bigger and spies were introduced with Ek Tha Tiger in 2012.
This eventually led to the birth of the YRF Spy Universe. There is no doubt about the fact that producers have accumulated millions from this franchise. The credit goes to directors like Kabir, Khan, Ali Abbas Zafar, Siddharth Anand, and Maneesh Sharma.

Apart from Anand, Ali has also got a 100% track record. He is also one of those people who has been closely associated with YRF for more than 10 years. His journey began with Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and also contributed to the success of Salman Khan, whose performance was praised in Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai.
Although Ali collaborated with Khan for another time in Bharat, he maintained a distance from any of Bhaijaan’s films and YRF for a long time. Despite that, many people would agree that Ali knows how to make films. His directorial skills are also perfect considering that he is well aware of where to place songs, how to create the best action sequences, and use an amazing background score for different situations.

So the question is why are we discussing Ali? The good news is that the filmmaker is returning to YRF to work on some of their projects. The report was confirmed by a trade source to Variety. While the films are not finalized yet, there are a few upcoming projects that might be helmed by Ali.
The 42-year-old also needs a change for now. He has been in the headlines for different reasons over the last three years, starting with the controversy of the web series Tandav to the failure of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.

Considering Ali’s expertise with action, he might be chosen to direct Pathaan 2 since Aditya Chopra is yet to announce the person who will be taking the director’s seat. Although Chopra has not confirmed anything beyond Tiger vs Pathaan for now, the franchise has the possibility of further continuation and only Ali can handle such subjects.
On the other hand, there have been multiple rumors about Dhoom 4. While trade expert Taran Adarsh recently confirmed that the film has not entered development yet, YRF can continue their lineup of blockbusters by bringing in Ali for the next installment of the Dhoom franchise.
All of these are just speculations. It will be better to wait for an official confirmation from Yash Raj Films.
