Akshay Kumar’s Masterstroke: Don’t Angry Me

However, the announcement has not gone well with Akshay Kumar as his production company around 50% IP of the film. His legal team said in a statement that Akshay currently owns the rights, title, and everything else associated with the project.

The statement additionally mentioned that anything shared by Shailendra to Mid-Day on November 11 is not true since he does not have the right to create a prequel or sequel to the film.

The news comes after Shailendra said in an interview that he is planning to bring Diljit Dosanjh or Ranveer Singh. Notably, the duo has shared the screen with Akshay on Good Newwz and Singham Again.

Considering the choices of the audience in today’s world, Singh Is Kinng 2 might not bring enough profits compared to the first film. It was acceptable if it was made by anyone associated with the production of the previous project.

Although multiple sequels to cult classics are currently in production, their box office potential remains a big question.

Singh Is Kinng worked back in 2008 for different reasons and it is not easy to make a sequel with similar elements which led to the success of the first film.

While Akshay’s legal team has stopped Shailendra from producing a sequel, the actor has himself not shared any response so far.
