Akshay Kumar’s stale run at the box office might come to an end with his upcoming period thriller Kesari Chapter 2 which revolves around the incidents of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre.
The film opened to positive reviews after its first teaser and initial posters showcasing Akshay Kumar as a bold lawyer Sankaran Nair. The film also features R Madhavan and Ananya Panday in prominent roles making it an exciting watch.

Fans are already excited to witness the hidden truth of the Jallianwala Bagh incident and with the Kesari branding, the film has already generated quite some buzz around social media.
With the given hype and excitement for the film, it is expected that it will open to 5-7 crores at the box office. However with the official trailer of the film scheduled to release on April 3, it will play a huge role in deciding the first day numbers.

Nevertheless, Kesari Chapter 2 will certainly have a better opening than Akshay’s recent disasters at the box office including Selfiee, Sarfira and Mission Raniganj which opened to around 2 crores.
The supporting actors R Madhavan and Ananya Panday are expected to steal the show with their riveting performances and leading from the front, Akshay Kumar also aims to bolster the box office once again after his strings of flops.
