Dinesh Vijan’s war drama Skyforce has put Akshay Kumar under a lot of pressure. It tells the story of India’s airstrike against Pakistan during the 1965 war and has stars like Veer Pahariya, Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles.
Akshay Kumar has been having a disastrous time at box office from Bade Miyan Chote Miyan to Sarfira. He really needs to turn his fate around and this film is the right fit for him as it is full of patriotism which has been good for his collections in the past.

However, the film’s release on Republic Day next year has been threatened by a clash with Sunny Deol’s Jaat. Last time when Akshay and Sunny clashed at box office with OMG 2 and Gadar 2, Sunny had swayed all screens and earned over 500 crores while Akshay was nowhere near.
This time fans are calling this a time for revenge and hope that Akshay will win at the box office. Although his dull streak might impact him for the worse and a clash always results in viewership getting split badly.
