One criticized the film’s reliance on cliches. poor VFX, and the lackluster action sequences.
One disappointed user wrote, “Yawn. Sky Force Trailer is simply riddled with worn-out clichés and dreadfully drab dialogues. Sample this: ‘Pakistan ka baap’, ‘Ghar mein ghus ke maarenge’, ‘Pakistan ke parkhacche’…
Even the action sequences are subpar.
One would rather watch #UriTheSurgicalStrike or #Gadar.”
Another user commented, “Sky Force Trailer: Again, the ‘Hindustan vs Pakistan’ plot with Pak-bashing dialogues like ‘Tera Baap’! Patriotic one-liners we’ve heard before and visuals we’ve already seen last year (same release date) in Fighter. Don’t know how interested the public will be in watching this in cinemas.”
Last year’s Fighter, which, despite its bigger budget and better visuals, disappointed at the box office. The newcome Veer Pahariya also looks completely wooden. Akshay Kumar looks his usual self with no charm.
This raises questions about how Sky Force will perform in comparison.
Sky Force is Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur. Fans are hopeful that this film will help Akshay Kumar break his disastrous streak.
Sky Force hits theaters on January 24, 2025.
