Sharad Kelkar, who has worked with Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar in films like Tanhaji, Laxmii, and Sky Force, recently shared how it is very important to be an actor on set than sitting before the monitor and interfering with director’s job. He said it is very rare when an actor is technically sound. In a recent interview, Sharad shared how Ajay is technically aware, while Akshay, who seems to be very chilled on set, keeps an eye on everything that is going around.
Sharad collaborated with Ajay for the 2020 film Tanhaji, where he played the role Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The film, directed by Om Raut, starred Ajay in the titular role. While speaking about actors who give technical inputs during a film shoot, Sharad told Filmfare, “An actor can never say he knows everything about acting. It is pointless to sit in front of the monitor and judge other people’s work until you are technically sound.”
He added, “However, there are a lot of senior actors who are technically very sound. They are aware and how. I have worked with Ajay Devgn. He is technically so sound. I have never seen an actor, who knows so much.”
Sharad Kelkar also recalled working with Akshay Kumar, who is known for pulling pranks on set. He shared, “Akshay sir too is very smart that way. He is very much aware. You will feel like he is chilling around, playing cricket on set, but he very much knows what is happening on set.”
Sharad collaborated with Akshay for the 2020 film Laxmii and 2025 film Sky Force.
