Drishyam 3 is all set to go on floors after a long wait. With Ajay Devgn returning as Vijay Salgaonkar for another time, the film is supposed to enter production by October 2, 2025, and the makers are aiming to bring it to the big screen by Gandhi Jayanti 2026.

The film is additionally creating headlines as Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 is also not in production yet. Notably, Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 is going on floors from October this year, and the news was confirmed by the makers with an Instagram video on June 21, 2025.

So, there is a possibility that audiences might get to see both the Malayalam and Hindi Drishyam 3 at the same time. However, the biggest question right now is whether the stories will be the same or different for both languages.

Although director Jeetu Joseph, who will be directing Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3, has not confirmed anything from his side for now, a source close to the development of Ajay Devgn’s film stated that clarity on the matter is expected to come out by July 2025.

The insider has additionally claimed that the script for Ajay’s Drishyam 3 is already locked. Moreover, Abhishek Pathak will return as the director for another time, and it will be shot in three different locations in Maharashtra.

The makers of Ajay’s Drishyam 3 may have approached the makers of Mohanlal’s film to consult on the script. But only time will say whether it is a speculation or the franchise will end differently in both Hindi and Malayalam.

Moreover, the makers of Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 were reportedly aiming to release the Hindi-dubbed version of their film. Now, considering that Ajay’s Drishyam 3 has also been announced at the same time, it remains to be seen if the dubbed version of Mohanlal’s film will be released in any manner.

On the other hand, Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 is yet to get a release date. In case both versions arrive on the same day in theatres, it will be interesting to see which one of them will leave a positive impression on the audience.
