Ajay Devgn gave a “special shoutout” to Suniel Shetty on his daughter Athiya Shetty’s marriage to cricketer KL Rahul. He congratulated the actor, his wife Mana Shetty as well as Athiya and Rahul on the occasion. Athiya and KL Rahul will pose for photographers after tying the knot on Monday. Taking to Twitter Monday morning, Ajay wrote, “Congratulations to my dear friends @SunielVShetty & #ManaShetty for their daughter @theathiyashetty’s marriage to @klrahul. Here’s wishing the young couple a blissful married life. And, Anna, here’s a special shout-out to you on this auspicious occasion. Love. Ajay.” He also shared a throwback picture of Athiya and KL Rahul together.
Sunday night, a lot of action could be seen at Suniel Shetty’s Khandala farmhouse where the wedding celebrations were going on since a few days. The sangeet night was held on Sunday and a video captured from a distance shows guests grooving at the party.
Suniel had denied Athiya and KL Rahul’s wedding preparations every time he was asked about it by the paparazzi. On Sunday, he finally talked to the photographers about the same and assured them that the bride and groom will pose for pictures after the wedding on Monday. In a video shared by a paparazzo account, Suniel was seen greeting the photographers with a namaste after stepping out of his car. The actor was in a blue shirt with white pants and sunglasses. As the paparazzi congratulated him, he promised them that he would get the kids – Athiya and Rahul, along with the entire family for the official pictures. He said, “Main kal leke aata hoon bachhon ko. Aapne jo pyaar dikhaya uske liye bohot bohot thank you (I will bring the kids tomorrow, Thank you for showing so much love).”
Athiya and KL Rahul have been dating since quite a few years. She also accompanied him on his tours quite a few times. Athiya made her acting debut with 2015 film Hero and was last seen in 2019 film Motichoor Chaknachoor, opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
