December 2024 is shaping up to be an explosive month at the box office, with a lineup of major films hitting theaters week after week.

The month kicks off with Pushpa 2, expected to be the biggest film of the year and set new records as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024. There have been some rumors about a possible delay, but as of now, it’s slated for a December 6 release.
Following Pushpa 2, Ram Charan’s highly anticipated Game Changer is also aiming for a December release. Vicky Kaushal’s Chaava is aiming for December 6, creating a direct clash with Pushpa 2.

In addition, Manchu Vishnu’s Kannappa, Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par, and Varun Dhawan-Atlee’s Baby John are also scheduled for December.
Adding to the December frenzy, Shah Rukh Khan is set to make a big splash with Mufasa: The Lion King. This film is a prequel to the 2019 remake of the 1994 animated classic, with SRK returning to voice Mufasa. His sons Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan will also provide voices for Simba and Young Mufasa in the Hindi version.

Mufasa: The Lion King is scheduled to release on December 20, and it is likely to face off against Ram Charan’s Game Changer.
This will pit Shah Rukh Khan against Ram Charan, following earlier high-profile clashes like Yash vs. SRK and Prabhas vs. SRK.
The 2019 release of The Lion King was a blockbuster in India, earning 200 crores at the box office, with Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan contributing their voices to the characters of Mufasa and Simba.
