After blockbuster Gadar 2, Sunny Deol to tie up with Aamir Khan for Lahore-1947

After giving a massive blockbuster, Gadar, Sunny Deol will tie up with Aamir Khan for Rajkumar Santoshi’s movie, Lahore 1947. The movie will be produced by Ammir Khan.

The announcement of the new project was made by Aamir Khan on social media application instagram.

“I, and the entire team at AKP, are most excited and happy to announce our next, starring Sunny Deol, directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi, titled Lahore, 1947. We look forward to collaborating with the immensely talented Sunny, and one of my favourite directors Raj Santoshi. The journey we have embarked on promises to be most enriching. We seek your blessings, A,” wrote Aamir Khan in his post.

On Saturday, film industry expert Taran Adarsh, also shared the information about the new project on X.

“BIGGG NEWS… AAMIR KHAN – SUNNY DEOL – RAJKUMAR SANTOSHI COLLABORATE FOR ‘LAHORE, 1947’… #SunnyDeol and director #RajkumarSantoshi reunite for a film produced by #AamirKhan… Titled #Lahore1947,” he posted on X.

The announcement received a lot of positive response on social media, where fans applauded the new project and expressed their excitement to watch the new film.

Sunny Deol’s last movie Gadar marked his spectacular comeback in the Bollywood after decades. The film earned more than ₹525 crore at the box office and also became the highest-grossing Hindi film in India for one day. The movie attained the title after beating Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan. However, the title was later earned by Shah Rukh Khan’s latest release Jawan a day later. Talking about Aamir Khan’s last release, Laal Singh Chadha, the movie was marred by controversy surrounding several issues. The movie also failed miserably at the box office. However, the movie received applaud when it was released on Netflix. The film was the Hindi adaptation of Hollywood cult film Forrest Gump.
