Vijay’s last film, The GOAT, faced heavy trolling and backlash, with more criticism than appreciation. Audiences slammed the film for its weak story, poor direction, subpar VFX, and Vijay’s poorly executed de-aging.
Adding to the disappointment was Meenakshi Chaudhary’s role, which was almost negligible and lacked any significance.

Meenakshi, known for her tall and striking looks with a good fan base among the youth, has been struggling to find a breakthrough. All her recent roles have been forgettable.
In Mahesh Babu’s highly anticipated Guntur Kaaram, her character was reduced to minor appearances, serving drinks and omelets, leaving fans disappointed.

Hopes were pinned on The GOAT to provide Meenakshi with a substantial role, but it turned out to be another letdown.
Paired with the younger version of Vijay, her character left no impact. In fact, many felt her part in Guntur Kaaram, though minimal, was much better compared to The GOAT.

These back-to-back negligible roles became a talking point about the poor opportunities offered to her.
However, Meenakshi found some relief with Dulquer Salman’s Lucky Bhaskar, which brought her much-needed appreciation.
In a recent interview, Meenakshi Chaudhary shared her struggles following the release of Vijay’s The GOAT.
She revealed, “After acting in Vijay’s GOAT, I was trolled by so many people that I went into depression for a week. But with Lucky Bhaskar, I received a lot of appreciation, and that’s when I realized I need to focus on doing good movies from now on.”
She is now looking forward to Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunnam directed by Anil Ravipudi where she looks to have a meaty role. The film is all set to release on January 14.
